Overview

Air filters are key to keeping the air in the shop mostly dust free and clean. This should keep computers from getting clogged up with dust. This design is meant for 24"x30" filters, which can be had for $5 each. It should be trivial to adapt this to other filter sizes, but this size was chosen, because it will be adaptable to most small box fans.

Materials

  • 26"x20"x0.5" plywood [2]
  • 30"x20"x0.5" plywood [2]
  • 30"x2"x0.5" plywood strip [2] (required for seal around back of filter)
  • 10"x2"x0.5" plywood strip [1] (this can be improvised with nails, if necessary)
  • 10"x1"x0.5" plywood strip [1] (this can be improvised with nails, if necessary)
  • nails [40+]
  • scrap 0.5" plywood to seal around your box fan
