Overview
The following is a rough draft proposed handling process, and is not the sentiment of the Makers Local 256 until adopted by the board. THE TEXT HERE HAS NOT BEEN ADOPTED BY THE BOARD AS PROCEDURE, DO NOT PUT ANY FAITH IN THIS PAGE. Omegix 14:38, 13 March 2009 (CDT)
There is no guarantee that the Makers Local 256 will reimburse any member for stolen or damaged property that is left at the Makers Local 256 shop. It is the assumption that any property left at the shop is available for any Member to use, unless physically tagged otherwise.
In the event that the board of the Makers Local 256 files a claim with its insurance agency, and chooses to claim property not belonging to the association, the items indicated below will receive priority for reimbursement. Priority is determined by the board, and it is ultimately up to the owner of the item to determine whether they are comfortable loaning their equipment to the organization.
To have your loaned item considered for priority reimbursement, you must submit a formal proposal to the board.
Asset Tiger System
Makers Local 256 uses two systems for tracking assets. This wiki page, and the free Asset Tiger tracking system The items in the section "The List" below may not be in the Asset Tiger tracking system. As they are added, please remove them from 'The List'.
Asset Tags
Asset tags can be used for property owned both by Makers Local 256, and for perma-loaned equipment.
- If any pre-printed tags are available, Asset Tags are in the filing cabinet near the office.
- If you need to print new tags, you can ask Omegix for access to the Avery template file.
- Gaining access to the Asset Tiger system
"New Person" to the list of people who can add assets. This is under "Advanced -> Persons/Employees"
