==Overview==

Problem: US Law is extensive, and is largely written for only a small audience of highly trained persons to interpret and comprehend. This is an intrinsic flaw in the methodology of our government because the people for which laws are written to protect do not know what the law is.

As an aside, it's comparable to people who can throw a few of the ten commandments at you (like citing "free speech, man!"), but don't understand the broader, more inclusive and compassionate picture of their religion (like the details of actual laws and how they affect you). This is the majority of the citizenry in our country.

Solution: Create a website similar to Wikipedia. Allow those who understand law to translate it into layman's terms. These summaries would be displayed next to the "full text" of the law/legislation. Incorporate a strong relational database so that a person can know what laws in federal, state, and local government affects them based on who they are and where they live.
