By using the already-present and geographically-penetrative cellular tower infrastructure, the control range of the LONGOLIAN is not limited to a few miles, or even a few hundred miles; it is only limited by the availability of cell coverage in the area. Version v0.1 of the LONGOLIAN will be a very simple robotics platform that will allow for testing of control, power, and mechanical systems.
