Overview

Automatic Position Reporting System

APRS is a combination of radio and GPS technologies. A handheld radio is used to transmit the coordinates recieved from a GPS connected to it. A computer can then pick up these transmissions and display them on a map. This is mostly done using Ham frequencies but I see no reason why it can't be done on commercial bands thus going around some of the restrictions placed on it.
