Overview

One problem I encountered with my mp3 player was that as I ran, the thing would bounce around. To combat this I have decided to build a holder that attaches to my arm.

Materials:

  • ~6 inches of stretchy black ribbon
  • 2 elastic hair bands

Results: The results of the first test were very encouraging. The overall design is sound though the implementation needs to be adjusted.

Problems: The ribbon tended to bunch up and form a cord which became uncomfortable. The elastic bands impaired access to the player's buttons.

Changes: Change the band to a stiffer material such as a backpack strap. Add snap together buckles like on a backpack to hold it in place while allowing it to be adjustable. Swap the elastic bands for a pouch or holder of some kind.
