Overview

Experiments at recreating weather on a much smaller scale in an enclosed environment, one step at a time.

Experiment #1

Creation of a cloud in an enclosed environment.

Proposals

  • Clear "tower" topped in a copper plate. A peltier in direct contact with the copper plate will cool the surface creating a cold layer at the top of the "tower". Below this will be a tray of water heated to create water vapor. The idea here is that once the rising water vapor makes contact with the cold layer it will condense into a cloud.

Notes

  • I don't know if a gradual release of water vapor through the gradual heating up of water will work. Flash boiling the water may be necessary, all be it difficult. --strages 06:33, 27 November 2008 (CST)
