Taking inspiration from the Japanese square watermelons, I wondered if the same techniques could be applied to cucumbers.  The resulting cubic cucumbers are easier to peel.  All you have to do is cut a little bit off the six sides.  Because of their shape they are perfect for sandwiches and pickles.  They are stackable and won't roll around your refrigerator.

The production method is simple.  When the fruit begins to grow, put it into a plastic box about the size that you want it to grow.  Then all you have to do is wait and let it grow.  This would be ideal when paired with [[Hydroponic Gardening]].

Overview

Taking inspiration from the Japanese square watermelons, I wondered if the same techniques could be applied to cucumbers. The resulting cubic cucumbers are easier to peel. All you have to do is cut a little bit off the six sides. Because of their shape they are perfect for sandwiches and pickles. They are stackable and won't roll around your refrigerator.

The production method is simple. When the fruit begins to grow, put it into a plastic box about the size that you want it to grow. Then all you have to do is wait and let it grow. This would be ideal when paired with Hydroponic Gardening.
