We need a place where we can go and work on these projects in an environment that stimulates creativity and motivation. The shop will provide a work area, resources, and knowledge to help people with their projects.
Brainstorm!
Possible means of obtaining said shop:
- Become a for-profit "professional" MakeShop. See: http://www.techshop.ws/
- Become non-profit organization and find projects that are a good source of income to pay for the shop.
- Start for-profit "cover" business (coffee shop?) that rents out a place, but only uses a small portion of it. The rest is used for the MakeShop.
- Coffee-serving robot
Once a more permanent place has been found, provide access to all members via rfids. Building access could then be all hours.
- Everyone would be a keyholder and responsible for building security.
