[hide]Overview
A couple of months ago my brother called me up and asked me to make his kids (2 and 4) little superhero capes. During the course of the call he changed his mind to super soft cloaks. (I'm betting my sister-in-law's input) ;) This is the photographic evidence of the project...
Steps
- Purchase Materials
- Super soft microfiber plush blanket
- Simplicity pattern (cause I'm chicken about sewing really small capes)
- Satin blanket tape (for lining the capes - /overkill)
- PREWASH FABRIC!!!
- Cut out pattern
- Lay out Cloth
- Cut Cloth
- Serge EVERYTHING
- Sew up pieces
(note: each cloak took about 90 minutes to make, from layout to completion)
