I just figured out that I can use Google Talk though Gmail, at work. See I log into Gmail through ssl (https), thus my Google Talk is working, simple because they can't see it.
I want to be able to log into Gmail and use Google Talk to chat with AIM contacts. Can this be done with Jabber, since Google Talk uses Jabber? What about IRC?
Does anyone know about Jabber and how to use it to do this?
- I'm pretty sure you can have your Google Talk message you when you have mail, but I don't know about an actual IM to mail interface.--Nykodemus 17:53, 10 April 2007 (CDT)
- I spoke with Mog, and using Google Talk with Aim contacts is an ability that is going to be implemented soon. So as of now this project can but set on the back burner.--Jim Shoe 12:48, 13 April 2007 (CDT)
