The idea came from the knowledge that cameras usually don't filter infrared light. This means when a picture is taken, any IR light is interpreted as a bright white light. So the idea is to take IR LED's and make a license plate frame. When a picture is taken of the license plate say from a traffic camera your plate is covered by IR light making it impossible to read...thus avoiding a ticket. Overview
The idea came from the knowledge that cameras usually don't filter infrared light. This means when a picture is taken, any IR light is interpreted as a bright white light. So the idea is to take IR LED's and make a license plate frame. When a picture is taken of the license plate say from a traffic camera your plate is covered by IR light making it impossible to read...thus avoiding a ticket. As an added bonus, humans can't see IR light, making this solution perfect.
Progress
- Made the wiki page and did a little research.
- Seems as though cameras use IR Flashes. This is so that the plate reflects better.
- Would seem if you flood the plate with IR then everything should work like I expect.
