Rules/Outside Storage

Rule

A new Rule shall be defined with the following text: "If a member wants to move inactive or abandoned personal property to outside storage, the member must send an email to the member's list giving a week's advance notice, in order to allow the owner a chance to retrieve it or work on it."

• Property is considered abandoned if it has not been worked on at the Shop but has been at the shop for more than 1 week.
• A Project is considered inactive if it has not been worked on in over one week.
• This Rule applies to Personal Property that is not in Member Storage or Active Project Storage.
• Personal Property is a different class of object from Tools on Loan, or Shop Property, and is defined as Materiel that is owned by a Member that was brought to the Shop for use in a Project or Class and is not intended for General use.
