Overview
This is a project to recreate the dog treat dispenser that many others have created that allows anyone to send an email to my dog and it will dispense a treat for them!
It should also take a few photos of the dog eating the treat and then reply back to that person with a thank you message from the dog.
This will be a great project for a raspberry pi. It would check the given email inbox on a schedule like every minute or so. Then if a new email arrives with the correct subject and/or message then the pi can send a signal down one of its GPIO pins to turn a servo motor that will turn the treat dispenser over once that should dispense one treat. It should then take a few photos from a USB camera attached (or the new Raspberry Pi camera!). Finally it should create a reply email to that person, attach the photos it just took, then include a thank you message from the dog.
