Below you will find the PSAs we have done for NPR. This is a good resource to use if you need to create another one for an event. Visit http://wlrh.org/PSA for more information on how to get a PSA on the air.

  • Contact for PSA at WLRH is Brett: psa@wlrh.org
  • PSA's are now done on the WLRH Website
  • They will not do PSA's for selling events (Nerd Rummage Sale) but if you can focus on another event that is going on at the same time, that's passable
  • WLRH recommends we write out acronyms to clarify how they should be pronounced, and to get the timing right.

NPR announcements work best with a 5 week lead time.

Retro Gaming and Computing Night 2016

Makers Local 256 a space for makers and tinkerers, invites you to Retro Gaming and Computing Night on Saturday November 12 starting at 4pm. This annual event will feature many game console and computing devices from before this century. This event is open to the public. Makers Local 256 is located on Stevens Ave in Huntsville. Makers Local 256, Huntsville's not-for-profit Makerspace and Hackerspace, will host an open house starting at noon on Saturday, July 9th, with a LAN Party to follow at 7pm. These events are open to the public. During the Open House, Makers Local 256 will conduct its annual Pig Roast! Information is online at < makers local dot org >.

Are you a tinkerer, a builder, a hacker, a maker? Makers Local Two Five Six is Huntsville's welcoming community makerspace located in the five points area. Makers hosts a variety of tools including laser cutters, Three D printers, soldering stations, woodworking, sewing machines, and vinyl cutters. All of these tools and more are free to use to the public. Opportunities are available for twenty four seven access. At six pm every Tuesday, Makers Local holds public nights where their members provide tours of the facility and its resources. More information is available at makers local dot org.
