Summary
This proposal covers a change to the bylaws allowing voting to end prior to the 5 day voting period in the circumstance that all possible votes have been cast. This has been discussed several times, but was never actually submitted as a proposal.
Proposal
I propose that we modify the following text in the bylaws:
Once called to vote, a motion is open for vote for five days. At the end of which, the motion passes, fails, or is reconsidered.
The modified text shall read:
Once called to vote, a motion is open for vote for five days or until all votes are cast. At this time, the motion passes, fails, or is reconsidered.
This text exists in Article III, Section I of the current bylaws of this organization.
