In Sept planning on having a shop pot luck \ group dinner on Sunday around 3pm.
Cooking Class
- Norm will have class and dates for event in September, planning won't occur earlier than Aug 22nd.
- Max 10 - 15 in class
- Depending on size of class, may want to hold it at the large kitchen at the Whitesburg \ Sparkman Rec Center (free to use, but must reserve)
- Students may have to purchase knives
- Potentially in-house screen print some aprons for the class
Cosplay Party to raise funds for enclosing the textiles area. Looking at Oct\Nov timeframe.
Having local restaurants give us catered food to raise money
- Nothing but noodles, pizza hut, etc.
Contacting Panda Express
- These 10% back type fundraisers work really well if you have a large audience participating. We may not have the reach to make the effort \ return equitable.
Contacting Popeyes for Gift Cards <- this may have a direct member benefit as well as a fundraising appeal

Ben T. is going to make the donation jug stand out at the pig roast
Ben T. and Jeff are going to setup a general PSA for the shop at WLHR (not discussed at meeting, just keeping it in the action item list)
Jeff C. to ask Ben T. if curse has door prizes \ swag for pig roast
Michele C. is going to ask Gigaparts if they can donate a raffle prizes for our events, and potentially do a raffle at this year's pig roast.
