Things to do to become a Business

1. Name
2. Get EIN number, basically a SS# for a business.
3. Create Business Plan, if we want to use SBA or other government/Private investors.
   • This will include Officers, Expenditures, Estimates of Profit, and many other things.

SBA for the Colo

These may be some of the ways we can get some start up money.

1. 7(a) Loan Programs
   • This is the basic SBA loan. The government doesn't give you the money, instead they back the bank %75. Thus the bank feels safer to lend money to small or startup business'.
2. Business Development/Small Disadvantaged Business Status
   • We would need to find someone who qualifies under Sec. 124.103 of this document.

Grants for the MakeShop

If we become a Non-Profit we would have a better chance to get some of these. We could make the make shop into something like a Think Tank.
