My Nephew needed a Sand Table

With some help at the shop I made him an awesome Sand Table. Here is how I did it.

What you need

  • Inspiration - I have the most adorable nephew, he was turning 2.
  • Plywood
    • I used treated 1/2in
  • 2/4's
  • Kitchen sink stopper
  • Casters (I used lawnmower wheels)
  • Allthred for the axel
  • Screws
  • Bolts/washers
  • Paint and Primer
  • Caulk
  • Friends (stop by ML256)

How to do it

  1. 1. Draw up your plans
  2. 2. Use your plans as guidelines and start cutting the wood
  3. 3. Put the pieces together in the logical order
  4. 4. Sand all the edges and sides
  5. 5. Caulk all the cracks
  6. 5. Cut a drainage hole
  7. 6. Prime
  8. 7. Paint
