Makers Local will soon have a presence on dn42 as ASN 4242420256. This will serve several purposes:
- Provide a learning resource at the shop for BGP and other Internet protocols
- Provide access to resources on the dn42 network from the shop
- Provide connectivity between servers for replication, backups, etc.
We do not have all our IP space issued yet. The rough plan is:
- /24 for on-prem users (new maker wireless)
- /25 or shorter prefix for Meshnet endpoints
- Some fairly long prefix for backbone routers, important offsite servers, etc. - eyeballing 172.20.164.64/27
