Overview

This is the event page for the Amateur Rocket Launch on 3 March 2012. Gtpyro will launch his rocket Safety Orange and anyone interested in rockets should come along for a day of things that go boom and things that go bang. If you have your own rocket that you would like to fly and you're a member of NAR or Tripoli, bring it!


Details

  • When: 3 March 2012. We will leave from the shop at 8am and be back around dinner time
  • Where: ~15 miles from Talladega, AL (Google Maps Link)
  • How Much: FREE (just bring your own food and water)
  • Why: Well.... Because ROCKETS!

Things To Bring

  • Mandatory!
    • Food and Water. We will be in a field for most of the day and nowhere near civilization so plan to be self sufficient.
    • Lawn chair. I'll have one extra but not enough for everyone
    • Hat and sunglasses.
    • Warm Clothing. I'm not sure what the weather will be like so dress warmer than you think you will need to. It's easier to take off clothing.

    • Cash. There will be a vendor or two on site and if you want to buy stuff, this is the easiest way
