[hide]Overview
This is the event page for the Amateur Rocket Launch on 3 March 2012. Gtpyro will launch his rocket Safety Orange and anyone interested in rockets should come along for a day of things that go boom and things that go bang. If you have your own rocket that you would like to fly and you're a member of NAR or Tripoli, bring it!
Details
- When: 3 March 2012. We will leave from the shop at 8am and be back around dinner time
- Where: ~15 miles from Talladega, AL (Google Maps Link)
- How Much: FREE (just bring your own food and water)
- Why: Well.... Because ROCKETS!
Things To Bring
- Mandatory!
- Food and Water. We will be in a field for most of the day and nowhere near civilization so plan to be self sufficient.
- Lawn chair. I'll have one extra but not enough for everyone
- Hat and sunglasses.
- Warm Clothing. I'm not sure what the weather will be like so dress warmer than you think you will need to. It's easier to take off clothing.
- Optional
- Cash. There will be a vendor or two on site and if you want to buy stuff, this is the easiest way
- Ham radio
- Binoculars
