[hide]Things to do to become a Business
- Name
- Get EIN number, basically a SS# for a business.
- Create Business Plan, if we want to use SBA or other government/Private investors.
- This will include Officers, Expenditures, Estimates of Profit, and many other things.
SBA for the Colo
These may be some of the ways we can get some start up money.
- 7(a) Loan Programs
- This is the basic SBA loan. The government doesn't give you the money, instead they back the bank %75. Thus the bank feels safer to lend money to small or startup business'.
- Business Development/Small Disadvantaged Business Status
- We would need to find someone who qualifies under Sec. 124.103 of this document.
Grants for the MakeShop
If we become a Non-Profit we would have a better chance to get some of these. We could make the make shop into something like a Think Tank.
