Overview

Nathan had an idea to use the spinning yellow strobe light as a means for people in the IRC channel to get the attention of someone at the shop.

As the strobe light is 120V AC, an X10 module could turn this on and off. All that remains is creating an interface between IRC and the X10 Switch. With Ackis already in place, an Ackis Module would make the most sense.

The module would be a simple interface. User issues a command to Ackis, and the computer hosting the module isssues commands to the serial port. From there a X10 antenna module picks up the signal and places it on the Shop's internal wiring, where it will be picked up by the X10 switch connected to the Strobe light.
