The shop raised just over $500 from the 2014 Pig Roast.
The money is divided up to 3 pools of $300, $100, and $100. We're going to use this wiki page to accept proposals to vote on what you want to do with the money. This can include shop improvements, tool purchases, anything that boosts shop moral (and is legal in the state of Alabama). Add your proposal to this page so that all will know. Proposals will have to include a deadline of when this project will be completed and a detailed explanation of what you plan to do with one of the fund pools. Feel free to include multiple proposals, but make sure they're ones that you and other named members can carry out. Each proposal should cover who (as in project leader and helpers), what (project details), when (start and completion dates), where (where in the shop this will live, where your event will take place, etc.) and why (why do you think this will improve the shop).

Voting and proposal suggestions end just before the March Member's Meeting, and be announced there. Please see Member Grants 2012 for examples of how proposals were made in the past.

Floor the Arts and Crafts Section
- Who: Tim and Phil and whoever feels like carting heavy weights upstairs
- What: Purchase and install 12 sheets of 23/32 in. x 4 ft. x 8 ft. OSB Tongue and Groove Flooring Board to continue reinforcing the loft floor.
- When: Feb 28. Fallback date of Mar 7.
- Where: Arts and Crafts area
- Why: This is necessary to prevent injury at the shop, and improve compliance with building codes.
- How Much: At $20.38 each, 12 sheets is $266.57 with tax. The remaining money will go to screws and remainders. Left over funds will be turned into the Facilities Fund.

General PPE supplies
- Who: Scott Morales
- What: Purchase a Supply of PPE for the shop
- When: ASAP
- Where: The main workshop area.
- Why: On Tuesday Jan 20th I noticed that there where no dust masks, Few glasses, and Fewer decent gloves. If there is spare money lets supply some general safety items and ask it to be used or a donation asked if needed.
- How Much: $100 worth of PPE.

Move Blog/Wiki to the Cloud
- Who: Hunter & Nathan
- What: Purchase 1 year of Linode 1G hosting.
- When: ASAP
- Where: The Cloud!
- Why: This will be used to move our public facing websites to a fast and reliable server located offsite. This will also free up some local VM resources for things like OwnCloud (self-hosted dropbox).
- How Much: $108/year (we'll shake the couch for the extra).

New Office Window
- Who: Dmitriy
- What: Purchase replacement plexiglass for the office window (1/8" 48"x96" plexiglass sheet)
- When: ASAP
- Where: Office
- Why: The ductape on the glass is not attractive (good temporary fix but bad long term). New plexiglass will replace the window and there will be plenty left over for other projects.
- How Much: $98 at Home Depot.

Get Autonomous Lawn Mower Working
- Who: Jeff & whoever else wants to work on it
- What: RoboMow Restoration
- When: ASAP
- Where: lawnmower is in hackables section.
- Why: Geek cred, and it might make mowing the lawn fun instead of a chore.
- How Much: Estimating $100 for replacement battery, and parts we don't know need replacing or repairing.
