Discussion Topics
Membership Application Update
The waiver that new members sign says that we won't use powertools indoors. I think that was a rule we made when we were at makeshop 1.0, which had no warehouse portion fit for powertool work. Proposing to strike the statement from our Application.
Recycling tips
All plastic goes into the blue bins except for plastic bags or bag-like sheet plastic that can jam up the sorting machines and #6 (e.g. styrofoam cups and red solo cups). The bags and sheet plastic all go into the bag of bags that gets taken to Publix bag recycle bins. The #6 and red solo cups and styrofoam all go into the white can at the end of the stairs that also get taken to Publix egg carton recycle bins. Don't forget that ALL aluminum can go in the big can box not just soda cans. The shop makes money by sheer weight of aluminum no matter the source. Make sure the aluminum isn't attached to anything that's not aluminum before you toss it in the box since they pay us by just weighing the box. Keep up the great work of keeping food out of the blue bins!

Meeting Minutes
Treasurer's report: All expenses paid for February. We are $3/member underfunded at the moment (on average).
Bahiy will be getting an additional or larger dumpster with more often pickups to account for the large increase in trash he is generating.
Tim will be holding a cleanup day on March 24 from 11am to 7pm. This is going to be an INTENSE cleanup day. Please let Tim know if you plan to be there.
Please remember to put cans in the recycle bin instead of the trash can. This helps us ever so slightly.
The waiver on the application is currently undergoing minor revision on relatively stale portions that pertain directly to the original shop space that we occupied.
We need to have face time with the Lee HS robotics team leader before we even entertain the idea of hosting them here for any length of time.
Jennifer Paulsen will be running the election along with the help of someone else to be determined. If you are interested in doing this, contact Jennifer and board@lists.makerslocal.org.
We will be participating in the UAH club expo occurring on March 28.
The next meeting will occur on April 18.
Jeff and Scott are interested in having another pig roast sometime in the not-so-near future.
The wordpress android app works with our website for posting!
We opened the cupcake from Buffalo Labs and it was awesome. There is a video of this on the blog.
