Talk:Archives/Shop 1.0/We need a name
I'm still kind of thinking we need to include hsv2600 in with all this, since that's really how we all met to begin with, so I think we should be working on names for the *future* shop more so than group names. This way we can do something like [final shop name] and have it run by hsv2600. All meetings will be 2600 meetings but the ones on the first Friday of the month will be the "public meeting", and we'll recruit new members and what not from those. --strages 04:57, 12 March 2007 (CDT)
I think this should be separate from hsv2600. It would help us to more clearly define our goals in actually creating things instead of falling into the somewhat more lackluster approach (at least as I see it) of typical hsv2600 meetings. --jmcarthur 23:10, 13 March 2007 (CDT)
I beg to differ. We are hsv2600, that's how all of us met, and in saying that look at what we've accomplished and how we differ from your typical 2600 group. We're far from lackluster and we seem to not have any problem with defining our goals. We're doing things. --strages 05:02, 14 March 2007 (CDT)
You have more of a right to differ than I do. I haven't gone to an hsv2600 meeting in a long time now. I stopped going because they were boring at the time. If things have really changed for the better, then the only problem I have with this is the association with the much larger 2600, which isn't as big a deal to me. --jmcarthur 8:34, 14 March 2007 (CDT)
I have a feeling that a Group Philosophy page would not go lacking. You name a thing and therefore further define a thing. I see at least two directions being hinted at in recent posts. --Korc 10:07, 14 March 2007 (CDT)

I think that this sounds a bit similar to the "Guild of Calamitous Intent" from the Venture Brothers. --Tanstaafl 11:20, 13 March 2007 (CDT)
