Overview

Pig Roast at Makers Local.

As of 4/10/13 waiting to see if we're moving to a new space before we start with pig roast logistics.

The Pig

Put a request out for recommendations on Huntsville's subreddit

Rocket City Meats

• They said to call close to the end of May to purchase the pig.
• Tentative price was $2.69/lb. An 80lb pig would be $215.
  • Pig is head and skin on.

Weaver Processing

Buy Pig From Them

• We have to let them know soon, they can get the pig on May 6th, 2013 and keep it frozen for us until the event. The next time they get in pigs is September.
• The pigs are skinned, not sure if this will make a difference.

• • $0.80 / lb live. Want to get about a 110 lb live pig if we want an 80 lb. "dressed" pig.

• $35, but have to bring it to them by May 21st. They can keep it frozen for us till then.
