Hello $firstname!

I have just setup an LDAP account for your use. You can use this username and password for the following services:

  • Wiki

  • Fileserver

We have our own fileserver accessable via smb://fileserver or scp://fileserver via the wired or vpn.

  • Webcams

See who's at the shop by going to https://256.makerslocal.org/cam.php

  • Donations

Keep track of your monthly donations by logging into https://256.makerslocal.org/donations/

To change your password, use the Linux command line tool \"ssh\" or the Windows program \"putty\" and login via a secure shell to the machine named \"fileserver\" You can only access this machine via the wired or vpn. Once you've logged in, use the command \"smbpasswd\" to change your password to something easier to remember.

Brian's email

Hi Phil! Thanks for applying for membership to Makers Local 256. Congratulations, you've been approved! I'm sorry this took so long to approve, but we recently elected new board members and we've been adjusting.

Now that you're a member, come by the shop sometime and we'll get you key access. You'll need some model of jump drive, any kind or size, and it doesn't matter how much space you have, our door lock reads your serial number. We'll enter you in the system next time we see you.

You're also have access to our wiki, at 256.makerslocal.org/wiki.php, where you can browse other members' projects and see if you want to participate. Or start some of your own, since it's a wiki and that is the point. And you'll be automatically added to our members' only email list.

I'm Brian, MrWorld if you're ever in our irc channel, I look forwarding to meeting in person soon.
