- Considering we've heard twice now that there's a press release made for us and now we're talking marketing venues, I just wanted some clarification as to whether everyone gets to review the press release or whether it was reviewed by the board instead. - I've pondered this myself. Here's my initial opinion: If the initial release is an introduction to the community, we let the board handle it. This is just to avoid having too many cooks in the kitchen. However, I feel that it would be irresponsible of me, personally, not to seek the advice of some of our veteran/founding members. Should it be posted on the wiki before going public? I say "not necessarily", but it can be argued that those reviewing it on the wiki before publication would be those involved directly or indirectly in the review, so I'm on the fence. Further press releases involving events or projects should involve the board and the project/event coordinators. --Dickie 10:54, 14 July 2010 (CDT)

- General knowledge of out existence, many times people will send work, information, and donations/sponsorship possibilities but they cant do that if they don't know we exist. General information often causes curiosity, we might get a fluff piece out of it, and we can easily send them specific project information along with the PR. --Preauxphoto 10:07, 14 July 2010 (CDT)
